I like Anime; but some times they have frustrating wierd endings. You start off with great animation, action and cool story with great characters. Then halfway through it turns into a weird religious metaphor "cough evangelion" that has you thinking what did i just watch. For trailers click the imagesMy two example are Xam'd: Lost Memories Great animation interesting characters It just recently ended couldn't tell you what the hell happend or what the point was. and ERgo proxy I really like this show but when it ended I had no idea it was the last episode they never explained certain plot points or the resolution. Give your examples of anime that left you thinking WTF? lol

The end of Gantz was a big WTF. Still loved it though.

This show is good for humor, but story wise? Pretty lame. The ending was complete crap and just left you thinking "Where are the rest of the episodes?"

ya know....i try to make it a point and do alittle research and ask around about a certain anime before i watch it...with kite liberator, i was told about it and i was instructed to steer clear but after seeing the first one years ago i was stoked that another one came out so i had to see it.... steer clear ppl...DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE. when it ends, it just...ends... no reason is given....it's like watching tv and all of a sudden theres a blackout....i actully pressed the forward button thinking there was another scene but there wasn't...

Classic one: Evangelion. That's always a mind-twister, but I feel like I start to figure it out after watching it over and over again! Also, Lain was pretty "wtf?" Most things by Satoshi Kon end with giant confusion! Paranoia agent, Perfect Blue, etc.

Hmmm, let's see, you've got a pretty good list here... It definitely helps to watch them again and pay very close attention, as well as taking a look at the wikipedia pages for them, they often explain things a little better.. I think Trigun should be on the list, though they're doing a movie that should follow the manga a little more closely and wrap some things up.. I'm torn as to whether or not Cowboy Bebop should be on the list or not, as the ending was left rather ambiguous, but the plot lines were still fairly wrapped up..

I always thought Trigun was very straight forward XD The manga is a lot more explanatory, but the anime is great on its own.

trigun and bebop were pretty easy to grasp imo...perfect blue was a psychological thriller that you really had to watch close to understand.
i tried to give lain and paranoid agent a fair shake episode after episode but after each ep i was left with the WTF feeling so i gave up.

I like the short ones...stuff like Hellsing and the one-shot anime movies were pretty easy to follow. But most animes just make me tilt my head to the side in another WTF movement.

Yeah, but there's always a random "anime" ending to explain the whoooooooole thing and why it "makes sense"

The end of Gantz was a big WTF. Still loved it though. yeah but end of the anime it was just and adaptation of some volume of the manga , maybe if you want more read the manga they do this kind of stuff often in japan. anyway some anime adaptation are really good like full metal alchmeist with a real good epic ending i liked the ending of evangelion even if it was a bit confusing yes, but it was more original than a classic end battle with thunder and rain... i liked the end of evangelion movies too. anyway they gonna release rebuild of evangelion 02 this year. the movie will be so epic than it will the be the best anime again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
