Hi, my name is Matt Wiley, though I usually go by Mel Rains over the internet. I'm a full-time Graphic Design student at the University of Akron. I have always been interested in creating Comic book and Video game art. I hope to one day work for a small company employed by creative individuals, or to be a comic book artist. I was led here by Mark's posts about this place. Here's my devArt account, though I don't update as often as I should. melrains.deviantart.com/I'm looking forward to contributing to this site, as its seems people can get the constructive feedback that dA never seems to be able to supply.

hello, everyone! I'm Joe Eisma, and I've been a freelance comic book and video game artist since 2005. My first published work was 'A Dummy's Guide to Danger: Lost at Sea' from Viper Comics, which I followed with the OGN 'Serpo' from Devil's Due. My most recently published work was a six-page short story entitled 'Dodge's Bullets' with Jay Faerber in Dynamo 5 #18 from Image. Currently, I'm working on a new GN called 'We, The People' that will hopefully be out for San Diego this year from new publisher Outlaw Entertainment. Games-wise, I've done mostly budget titles for the Nintendo DS and a PC RPG called 'Depths of Peril.' I've been a big fan of Mark's for a few years now, and I especially love his coloring technique. I see lots of familiar faces from Deviantart around here! I'll be posting art soon, meantime you can see my sites at www.supajoe.com and supajoe.deviantart.com

Hello all, my name is Chris Tung, and I'm a struggling comic book writer. I'm currently a student at UC Davis, and I've been a comic fan for a while now. I've been a fan of Mark's work since I bought the AoA poster back in high school, and I'm curious to meet other fans, artists and writers. Work wise, it's a bit too early to talk but my first venture into the professional comic book world should be coming up by San Diego (fingers crossed). If there are any budding pencilers looking for work, I'd be happy to chat with ya

Hellos, I'm Jovie, I'm an Illustration student at Rocky Mountain College of art and design. A friend at school introduced me to this place a few months ago but I haven't really had a chance to participate much due to school coming to an end and all. Art wise I still have a long way to go. My main goal is to be good enough to be able to complete comics eventually. anyway..that's me? DA: www.questionablemuffin.deviantart.com

Hey All, I follow Mark on Devian Art and when I saw his journal about his forum I had to come by. That was a while ago but I finally made it here. My name's Shawn Alleyne and I'm an aspiring comic book artist living in Philly. The name of my "studio" is Pyroglyphics and I'm working on a bunch of my own projects as well as juggling as much freelance work as I can find. I started my own Philly based comic book creators networking group called Xion, where we meet once a month to discuss this fine niche of entertainment we call comics, as well as collab. I hope to learn from all the great work that is on here as well as get as much critiques as I can to push myself to be a better creator. I can be found at these other sites as well: www.myspace.com/pyroglyphics1 and www.pyroglyphics1.deviantart.com You can see more about Xion here: www.myspace.com/xiongroup and www.meetup.com/xiongroup I look forward to what the new year brings us.
