Just thought I'd share some artists that I really enjoy. Also, to show that not all "anime" styled art is the same thing, since that seems to be a misconception all over the place.
CLAMP - This is probably the most stereotypical "anime" style that is my most influential. CLAMP is a group of all female manga artists. Their older famous works include RG Veda, Card Captor Sakura, Tokyo Babylong and X. Their new (I HATE IT) style has made famous their works Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and XXX-Holic. The style features ridiculously long arms and legs and a much less detailed style. My favourite works are the older ones, drawn by Mokona Apapa. Her style is detailed and beautiful with flowing lines. Most of the work is very moody.

Hyung Tae-Kim - An AMAZING, well-known, Korean artist, HTK is famous for his work on the Magna Carta games and War of Genesis. Unfortunately, I've never had the pleasure of playing any of these games, but the art is stunning!
He has the occassional, irritating habit of making breasts defy gravity in ways they never should, but overall I love the way he can draw men and women to both look appealing. He also doesn't give women tiny hands and feet!
A few of my fave pieces from HTK:

Tinker Bell (see what I mean about the breast thing?)

Kazuya Minekura is another one of my more influential artists. She is most popular for her manga Gensoumaden Saiyuki, but her comic career has been up and running for a pretty long time! I really appreciate how great she can make men look, though she often doesn't draw women so well.
I love the amount of detail in her works.

Noizi (Noiji) Ito is another talented female artist. Strangely enough, her work is often featured in H-games, but her style is unique and her ability to colour is great. I adore how very cute her characters are. You might recognize her work from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Shakugan no Shana, or Nanatsuiro Drops.
