I just colored a couple inks that I found for practice's sake (I have not in any way contacted the original artists). I'm basically flying blind when it comes to coloring, so if anyone wants to give me any advice, That would be greatly appreciated. Green Lantern. Lines by Jorge Correa Jr. Also, many Thanks to theartslave for telling me to use a screen blending mode for the ring effect. Spiderman. Lines by Loston Wallace and without the circle: C&C please.

I like these. A little vintage though by the color pallette. Interesting approach. Why did you choose to go with that greenish tone to the back of the arm instead of the same highlight for the blue throughout? I can understand not having the direct light sources from the inside of the circle to the front for the depth element. However, for me, it doesn't work..it seems like a fluke for a coloring attempt to justify the lack of light rather than a true third light source. I would have gone with the same darker blue myself if this were the case of toning for that one area.
Could be missing your intention too though. My point is that it makes it look flat, as it distracts from the piece and makes you notice the color difference. Like a sore thumb in a tom and jerry cartoon.
