(And no, I'M not the fan, ) This was a piece I did for someone on deviantART, I found the request for the piece in someone ELSE's journal as I was going through them, and figured I'd give it a shot. So at last, I have something recent to submit for critique and whatnot here, rather than just lurking and commenting on everyone else's stuff, ^^; The character is Soushi Asamoto, if you want to look for reference pics for comparison. (Holy crap, side-by-side, he looks kinda like my avatar! ((which is supposed to be me, roughly)), >.> creepy.)

Soushi has pretty flat hair, so I might make it less poofy/chunky style, and more strand by strand style. His arm look a bit awkward behind him there and I would try to vary line width a little bit more just because it starts to get a bit colouring booky.
He's coming along well, though!

Thanks for the input, mistresslegato~ Watase-sensei's style is quite different from mine, so this was fun to try and stretch myself a little more.. I was just focused on getting his damn part right, guess I should've gone back over his bangs, ^^; You think his arm should've been straighter, or tilted up more, I'm just curious.... *makes sign to continue trying to vary line width*

You might want to find a reference for that arm. It seems a bit long from shoulder to elbow and the positioning looks a bit stiff.
