Some sketches I did of Johnny Storm, hands, and a character of mine, Rell. I'll probably add more when I draw more (I've got Harley Quinn in the process...) UPDATE: Here's Harley - I'm not all to happy with her mask and face, but atleast she's done, and I'm pretty pleased with the way she turned out. I'm going to outline her in sharpie like I did with 'Rell, but I don't have one with me today. Anyway, any suggestions on how to get better are much appreciated! ~Abby

Interesting approach on the Harley. She is a little out of proportion with the way she is designed. The bust should be a bit larger and the head seems a little large for the body to me. It could be the result of an optical illusion with the jester headgear but I'm not sure.
As for the gun, always make her holding the trademark Joker oversized pop guns. It's a rare case for her to use a regular firearm when you see her throwdown.
Other than those minor issues, it's a great sketch. Keep up the good work but, keep in mind that when you work with established characters, you have to hold the detail of the original concept or you risk getting stabbed with spoons by an angry joy-boy mob of fans...heh.

Its probably just the headgear that's making you think that. I did struggle with the bust, but hey, what's something a pencil can't fix??
I did fix the minor inconsistancy of her neck not being divided, so that's done.
As for the gun, one of the first (and probably only) DC comic I read, Harley had an actual gun and not a pop-gun as you say. I've never seen a comic that had her with the afforementioned, but rather a real firearm...
Maybe it was more of a tribute. I worked too hard on the gun to change it, so it is what it is...

Well, it is still a great sketch, however, the gun is a little out of perspective. Just on the end of the barrel. It is tipped like as if it were down the more, which it should be flat, just so you know.
Still an interesting piece and really good attempt. Keep at it. Good stuff.
