I really like the first piece in this set. Additionally, I think the medium you used works very well- the rougher paper picked up the pencil in a way that was very complimentary to the overall piece.
On the second piece, though, I have an area that stands out a bit- The shadow on the jawline. Doesn't look like a shadow at all. While I can see on your other pieces that you have a good grasp on where shadows fall on the facial planes, this one, though the face is 'softer,' feels like the shadow was just tossed in at the jawline.
Additionally, the shadows on the legs- while I agree wholeheartedly with placement to keep continuity with the lightsource, I think that the shadow on her left (rear) leg on the inside of the thigh near the crotch doesn't help define the shape of the leg or the texture of the jeans (the inseam also seems a might misplaced there). I feel similar where the shadows on her right leg (forward) bump up against the seam.
All in all, though, I like the works!

Thanks for the kind words, and yeah, the shading on the second piece is ... lacking. I've not really had any energy to actually go back and finish it until recently. I'll give it another shot shortly and see how it comes out. The first and fourth were done with a reference, so it's more of a "photocopy what's there" instead of an actual understanding of exactly what's going on with the lights. I was trying to do a little better on tonight's sketching given what you said. I know the hands are a bit sketchy (finger angle on the first and flubbed palm on the second), and the expression is .. err.. non-existent, but those I can fix and live with in a sketch. I'm not sure exactly what's up with the non-striking knee though. Thanks for the look

Not so much a sketch as an unfinished mini comic. It is becoming increasingly clear to me that I'm not an inker or colorist, but I figured since I started this monstrosity I should finish it. Idea came from the Dr Doom sketch challenge teddy bear. No foreground shading yet, and a couple panels are missing flats. Don't kill me, I've got a sickness in the head ;P
