The background overpowers the character in the foreground a bit. I think if you lighten the linart in the background and brighten up Loki up front, this will work a lot better.

@ Lenneth4: I think this is similar to the character design Loki was introduced with in the old THOR comics. I can still see the personal style coming through though. Very nice.
I gotta admit, Loki does seem to fade a little bit into the background of the piece. If you want to keep him still looking like he's on a page and not separate from it, you could probably do a layer mask with the parchment effects I see, make the parchment effect that overlaps on the character as a separate layer (if this is all done in Photoshop...), and be able to tweak with the lighting on him better. Just a thought.

I really like him and the designs in the BG are really cool, but not super distracting.
